With knowledge and experience we encourage you to make a difference!About this OpportunityWe are seeking a detail-oriented individual, with strong analytical and communication skills to join our team as a Demand Planner. Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager, this Demand Planner role will be responsible for ensuring that high quality forecasts are developed. They will work cross-functionally to include critical inputs, such as promotions, growth and seasonality and communicate their forecasts to the wider organization in a clear and purposeful manner.  Key responsibilities:Develop accurate, high-quality forecasts by utilizing best-practice processes and sound business knowledgeImprove forecast accuracy by effectively analysing sources of forecast error and implement solutions  Foster cross-functional discussions to improve the quality and effective interpretation of inputs used to develop the demand forecastOwn the consensus forecast processes for a category of products, ensuring strong participation from the Sales and Marketing departments, as well as other functions when appropriate Maintain close communication with supply planning counterparts to ensure harmonization of supply/demand balance Own the day to day forecast process to ensure that the appropriate issues have been resolved and consensus around the forecast achievedLeverage the Demand Planning processes to assist in development of Fiscal Year forecasts/ budgets during the business planning cyclesSuccessfully communicate to broader organization forecast key assumptions, volumes, gaps, risks and opportunities for specified categoryDevelop and publish key forecast accuracy metrics Identify areas of continuous improvement and recommend action plans The successful candidate will possess:1-2 years of experience in a supply chain planning role, preferably in the FMCG industryHigh level of detail and accuracyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAnalytical approach to problem solving that incorporate business acumenAbility to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment to meet multiple deadlinesERP/MRP skills, particularly with ExcelSAP APO knowledge beneficial but not mandatory AUD South Brisbane 4101

About this Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual, with strong analytical and communication skills to join our team as a Demand Planner. 

Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager, this Demand Planner role will be responsible for ensuring that high quality forecasts are developed. They will work cross-functionally to include critical inputs, such as promotions, growth and seasonality and communicate their forecasts to the wider organization in a clear and purposeful manner.

 Key responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate, high-quality forecasts by utilizing best-practice processes and sound business knowledge
  • Improve forecast accuracy by effectively analysing sources of forecast error and implement solutions 
  • Foster cross-functional discussions to improve the quality and effective interpretation of inputs used to develop the demand forecast
  • Own the consensus forecast processes for a category of products, ensuring strong participation from the Sales and Marketing departments, as well as other functions when appropriate
  • Maintain close communication with supply planning counterparts to ensure harmonization of supply/demand balance
  • Own the day to day forecast process to ensure that the appropriate issues have been resolved and consensus around the forecast achieved
  • Leverage the Demand Planning processes to assist in development of Fiscal Year forecasts/ budgets during the business planning cycles
  • Successfully communicate to broader organization forecast key assumptions, volumes, gaps, risks and opportunities for specified category
  • Develop and publish key forecast accuracy metrics
  • Identify areas of continuous improvement and recommend action plans 

The successful candidate will possess:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a supply chain planning role, preferably in the FMCG industry
  • High level of detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical approach to problem solving that incorporate business acumen
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment to meet multiple deadlines
  • ERP/MRP skills, particularly with Excel
  • SAP APO knowledge beneficial but not mandatory
